A former computer executive, Gary Pittman, Sr., started PCI back in 1978 when he decided to fill an untapped niche: the computer publication industry. Today, his company has grown to include directory publications, web design and three consumer magazines. But Gary, who holds a B.S. and an MBA from Northwestern State University of Louisiana, doesn’t let his role as PCI founder and managing partner dictate his daily routine. Instead, he’s involved in virtually every step of the day-to-day business operations. “I do whatever is needed – from taking out the trash to managing every aspect of the business,” he says. On his days off, Gary is a part-time rancher and enjoys hunting and fishing. He has three children, four grandchildren and lives with his wife in Austin. |
